McGurk Intellectual Property Advisors is pleased to announce that David J. Clement has been named Of Counsel to the firm. David is a Registered Patent Attorney who most recently served as Senior Counsel and Global Patent Operation Manager for GE Aviation in Cincinnati, OH. Prior to GE, he worked for The Boeing Company as intellectual property counsel in St. Louis, MO. He will continue to focus on patents and intellectual property in his new role. He received a Juris Doctor from the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville, a Masters in Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College, and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Virginia. Embodying the spirit of the “citizen-soldier”, he served our nation for just over three decades altogether in the active and reserve components of the United States Marine Corps. Having led Marines at home and overseas in units from the platoon to the division level, he retired in 2011 at the rank of Colonel from the post of Assistant Division Commander, Fourth Marine Division, Fleet Marine Force.
